Here we find ourselves at the mid point of the 7 year tribulation, the point at which, to quote Jesus in Matthew 24:15-16: “So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand—then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.”
That act is committed by the one we refer to as the "Anti-Christ," though that term is only used in John's epistles. He is the "man of lawlessnesn" in 2 Thessalonians and has many other titles as well. But he is clearly the one we meet in Revelation 13. More on that next time.
